Changes I made: 

  1. 4 levels with a story and difficulty progression
  2. Added ammo count. Plus health, lives and enemies remaining to the HUD
  3. Replaced art assets for new ones in most levels (player character, enemies, backgrounds, walls, objects). Plus main menu screen background.
  4. Each level has its own challenges, with unique enemies.
  5. Added checkpoints across the levels, so the player doesn't have to walk from the beginning when losing.
  6. Added the objectives in a screen at the beginning of each level.
  7. Added instructions
  8. Added a minimap to each level
